EA Sports have just opened the official UK FIFA 2004 Community Website. This new site is packed full of goodies, with a lot more content than your usual official EA FIFA website.
Some of the stand out features include a more detailed look at Football Fusion, the announcement of the new stadia which will be featured in the game, a new forums system, a fansites database, along with enough interesting new sections to keep you occupied for quite some time. On top of this, if you get really desperate, you can even check out an interview with yours truly. ;-)
That is the theme of our new poll question. Browse down to the bottom of the right menu and let us know how often you play FIFA 2003 over the internet.
Our last poll question was a huge success. With over 14,000 votes, we asked you what you would like to see most in FIFA 2004. The top two answers, "A Career Mode" and "More Teams and Leagues" both received over 4000 votes. Congratulations people, you have been heard! Unless you've just crawled out from underneath a rock, you'll know that two of the major new features of FIFA 2004 are the Career Mode and a wide range of new leagues and lower division teams. Thank you to EA for listening to our requests.

"Football Fusion – A unique and innovative feature that will allow the TCM manager to:
Take their favourite team from TCM into FIFA, play the league or cup game and then import the result back into TCM.
Create an all-star team in TCM and then play against CPU or friends in FIFA 2004.
Take any team from TCM, that isn't in FIFA, play with that team in FIFA’s Tournament and Play Now modes, or manage the club to promotion and play it in FIFA’s Career and Single Season modes as well."
The influx of FIFA 2004 news continues today with our own hands-on FIFA 2004 preview. We reveal all the major new gameplay features of FIFA 2004.
In part we say:
"Undoubtedly the most exciting new gameplay related feature is the brand new Off The Ball control. This new feature is probably one of the biggest inovations in football games ever. The way it works is similar to the way people play Madden games. Before I go on though, enthusiasts of standard FIFA play, please do not panic. Off The Ball control is an optional feature and only works when you hold down the R2 button. So if you don't want to use it, you don't have to. Reality is though, once you get the hang of it you'll never go back."
This is a must read for any curious soccer gamer. Read the full preview here.
We've been able to get our hands on 54 brand new screenshots of FIFA 2004 for the PS2, PC and Xbox. The screenshots are from the pre-alpha version of the game.
