We are looking for a new volunteer news poster for this site. Our regular news updater, Will, is busy with his final days of school. Leo is doing a good job covering at the moment, yet he also has his own site, along with the downloads updates to attend to. If you are interested in becoming a news poster on this site, have had some experience in the past with running websites, and can speak good English, please send me an email with your details.
Apologies to everyone who has sent in their news in the past 1-2 weeks. All news will be posted as soon as we appoint a new news poster.
Just because they're talking the FIFA 2004 talk, doesn't mean EA have forgotten about FIFA 2003. Chau Le has let me know he'll be putting the finishing touches on a fix for the Creation Centre 1.5 Update and releasing it next week. It should fix most of the issues people were having with the 1.5 update.
Earlier today developers of FIFA 2004 sat down and answered a select number of questions from the FIFA Football Community Forum. Incase you missed it we have all the questions, and the more than exciting answers listed for you here. Plenty of new features announced, so make sure you check them out.
Everyone who had tried to register at the official FIFA Football Community Forum for tomorrow's FIFA 2004 E3 Chat Session will have not received their email activation. Thankfully EA have just fixed this and posted the following message at their forums:
"We have recently discovered an error with our email server which has been stopping new member registration activation emails from being sent out to new members. Thankfully we discovered this error just in time for the big FIFA 2004 Chat Session tomorrow morning. We have just activated every member's account meaning anyone who has signed up can now login with the username and password they joined with. Everything is once again working fine so feel free to sign up and take part in the chat session tomorrow morning."
If you are yet to sign up, make sure you head straight to the FIFA Football Community Forum so that you can ask the FIFA developers your FIFA 2004 questions on Friday at 9am LA time.
"The main thing you'll notice is that the ball has once again been even further removed from the player's feet. You'll also find that higher skilled players (eg Zidane) will be able to dribble with far more control and accuracy. Where as if you send a lesser skilled defender on a long sprinting run his control will be greatly reduced."
Check out the full article here and don't forget to register for the E3 FIFA 2004 Live Chat from 9am (LA time) this Friday.
Our resident downloads master, Leo, has been very busy at the Downloads Centre. Remember that if you do have any files that you want to submit, send them in to Leo and he'll add them as soon as possible. In the meantime, the following files have been added:
Things may be quiet here at the moment, however they will certainly be livening up in the next few days. With E3 beginning on Wednesday, there will be plenty of FIFA 2004 news information hitting the internet. Be sure to keep an extra close eye on the official EA SPORTS FIFA Community Site and be there on Friday when you'll have the opportunity to chat with members of the FIFA 2004 development team.

Soon there will be a 2nd update (v1.2), which will provide a new stadium structure and 3 faces. For all fans of the great Real Madrid this sounds like an excellent patch for you ready and waiting over at FIFA4U.
EA SPORTS have just announced that a special live chat session will be held on Friday, May 16th direct from E3. Members of the development team will be taking questions regarding FIFA Football 2004.
The official FIFA Football Website have also announced that they will be live from E3 for the entire duration of the show. That means from May 14th thru to May 16th there will be plenty of FIFA 2004 info being posted on the site. Visit the site for complete info.
Here is a very quick list of news that I've received in the past couple of days:
A new FIFA site has just opened known as FIFA4U. It is hosted by the good guys at Breamster.com and they've just released a Real Madrid Total 2003 Patch. Check out www.fifa4u.tk today.
DG has let me know that his website, DG Stadiums, has just released a brand new Ajax Amsterdam Arena with fantastic new textures. You can see a screenshot here. Visit DG Stadiums to download this new stadium.
Finally, a very helpful FIFA gamer known as Jim Kopcak has sent in this handy piece of info which may help people who are having problems with the Creation Centre 1.5 Update.
As I was one of the first to post a problem in regard to a corrupt database on the Creation Center 1.5 update, I feel it incumbent to let you know that I, for one, have sorted the problem out. Unfortunately, I had to uninstall and reinstall FIFA 2003 and Creation Center in order to get the program to work. This seemed to fix the problem, which I believe may have been caused from previously edited .dbi files. However, during this process another potential problem was uncovered: importing old creation center files. A message reading: a current file must be used (or something to that effect) was a recurring theme. To this problem, resolution was not achieved. Hopefully, this information will be of some use to the programs seeking a solution to the various reported bugs."
Keep the news coming in, as we'll be sure to post it.
Some people who downloaded the Creation Centre Update 1.5 have complained about a Run Time error they are experiencing. I have spoken to Chau Le and he is in the process of contacting people who have had this error, in order to investigate the problem and find a solution.
Most of the problems are caused by package files which are previously edited. Even though Chau and his team beta tested thoroughly, it is hard to cover all possible scenarios.
