Shlomy is already hard at work on the ULTIMA 2004, which will feature the best clubs from around the world in one exciting tournament. Following on from the success of ULTIMA 2003 this should be an awesome patch.
Shlomy has completed many teams already including:
America de Mexico (Mexico)
Cruz Azul (Mexico)
River Plate (Argentina)
Boca Juniors (Argentina)
Fenerbahce (Turkey)
Panathinaikos (Greece)
However, there are still available slots for teams, so feel free to suggest any, (plus a link for lineups, etc... would be helpful to him).
Shlomy is receiving assistance from the excellent (that's my boy!) Robert from Soccered with his superb kits (and we all know how good Rob's kits are).
Keep an eye here, at Fifa-IL and in the Patches Database as we have all the latest news on Shlomy's great patch. Also, check out this thread which has all the latest community news and views on the patch development.
Finally, please do not miss out on the 5 FREE games of Fifa 2003 Sweetpatch has to give away in her competition this weekend. Just visit the Sweetpatch Competition page and enter today.
There have been some great topics in the Fifa 2003 forum over the past month; I'd like to share a few with you. Probably one of the most important threads in Fifa editing history is the Access Editing Thread. Its popular, and Alex's solution for editing without the Creation Centre makes it a hot topic for most editors.
Kader has also started a great thread which should prove early reference for EA when beginning Fifa 2004. Inside the thread are ideas from forum members, if you want to post your Fifa 2004 ideas click here, however make sure you read the thread rules before posting.
Speaking of feedback, want to share your opinion with EA on their Creation Centre; well the Fifa 2003 forum has a thread for that too. The Creation Centre Feedback thread started by Matt is the place to let EA know your ideas on how to improve the Creation Centre.
If your kits are your interest, then Robert (schmeichel01) has a thread showcasing his kit making talent. He has previewed a few of his kits, and they're top stuff! Be sure to check it out here.
There are many threads in the Fifa 2003 Forum, and all the threads can’t be mentioned, however head over to the Forums to take a look for yourself.
Our latest poll question is designed to find out the public's general feeling of FIFA 2003. Tell us what you think of the game by voting in the poll in our right menu.
Our first "joint" FIFA 2003 review has seen Nick Clubman's review, orginally for the Xbox version, transform into a review for the PC version with a little help from myself. The finished product is a very indepth look into the PC version of FIFA 2003.
Here is a small peice of what you can expect.
"The shooting has changed, you can now hit the ball over the crossbar without needing full power, this is what I as a FIFA player have been asking for god knows how long, but I think it could have been a little harder still. At times on World Class you can slam the ball from quite far out past the keeper and into the top corner. This is not a keeper issue, but a shooting one, as it’s just too easy to get to grips with the shooting system and master it.
My critics will be happy to know that Nick has done the scoring, so all you people screaming "biased" can keep your thoughts to yourself ;) Read the entire review here.
It is a privelage to be a Fifa Gamer today, as our good friend Leo has again updated the Downloads Centre. He has uploaded some quality content:
Egypt Home Kit Textures
Norway Home Kit Textures
Italy Home Kit Textures
Mexico Home Kit Textures
Iran Away Kit Textures
Canada Home Kit Textures
New Fifa 2003 Cover
Creation Centre Access Forms
Mexico Home Kit and New Fifa 2003 Cover
All these files are really good, however there is one in particular I would like to highlight for all the editors. The Creation Centre Access Forms by Alex Carter are very good, and I recommend his hard work to anyone. Be sure to check that out as well as all the other Fifa 2003 files.
To get any of these files right now go on over to our Downloads Centre and click on the left where it says FIFA 2003.
Alex Carter has just put the finishing touches on a set of Microsoft Access Forms designed to help you with your Creation Centre editing. They make it nice and easy for you to edit previously un-editable things such as team formation, starting line-ups, player numbers and much more.
Download the Creation Centre Access Forms from our Downloads Centre.
Make sure you read the readme.txt file very carefully so that you know exactly what you're doing.
Keep an eye out for a handy FAQ Alex is writing to help you with the forms and Creation Centre.
Alex has pointed out a mistake with his Form, in order to fix this error you have to change the name of the form "link_ptsubform" to "link_pt subform" by adding the space.

EA Sports have released an important announcement for anyone who is having trouble with the various languages of the FIFA 2003 Creation Centre.

It is good to see them taking in some of the feedback from our Creation Centre Feedback forum topic. Let's just hope they continue this and release a patch to fix the other problems as well.

PC Gamester has posted its review on Fifa 2003 (PC Gamester):
"Looking at the game modes on offer, we were offered a choice of various tournaments, including the 'Club Championship' which was a seemingly random selection of some of the top-class teams in the game all shoe-horned into a single league, and the 'Season' mode which as usual, allowed us to play as any one of the club teams in the game in a full season of the respective league."
This review is great for an in depth look into Fifa 2003, and it can be found here.
Over at FIFA CONCACAF they are proud to present their first Package file for FIFA 2003 - The Canadian National Team 2003. This in from Federico Leonardo at FIFA On Line 2003:
"After a year we have decided to change our site: the graphic, the logo, the contents: everything! Our old sites from FIFA 2000 to FIFA 2002 are always available and you can access them from the main page. This year we have also created a new forum, where all people can write their opinions!"
The presses are spinning, and once again, more FIFA 2003 reviews have been spawned. Here are today's new additions:
The United Kingdom's second largest independent ISP supanet (Supanet) has just posted their FIFA 2003 review:
"Football games are such a personal thing and are often one of the more divisive genres, people get very protective of the franchise they prefer most. But give it a go; EA Sports has outdone itself this time, providing a visual feast that is as good to play as it looks."
The review is definitely a good quick read to help you decide what to buy, and it can be found here.
Also, Digital Sports has posted a more in-depth FIFA 2003 review:
"FIFA 2003 is a big step in the right direction. The gameplay is improved enough such that the game is fun and challenging. There is lots of replay value, and the overall atmosphere in FIFA 2003 is unparalleled in sports gaming today. "
If you've got a little bit of time on your hands this is a must read. Describing every little detail of the game, this review can be found by clicking here.
You may have noticed how slow things have been here over the past 3-4 days. That is because our main news reporter, Will, is taking a small break from the site to concentrate on studies. This means we need someone new to post news here. If you're interested, have spare time, some experience in websites and know some HTML please drop me an email.
On another note, I thank everyone who submitted emails to become the replays manager. I will get back to you shortly, but for now I have some more important site issues to attend to. If anyone who submitted for the replays manager job would also like to be a news reporter please feel free to email me again.
Over at FIFA IL you can find a new and excellent flares patch for FIFA 2003.

Last week it was Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2 leading the pack. This week however, in a stirring come-back EA Sports' FIFA 2003 has climbed into the lead.
"EA Sports' FIFA 2003 has edged ahead of Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2 at UK retail this week, with the titles reversing last weeks positions at number one and two respectively in the charts as the battle between the two biggest football franchises continues to rage.
FIFA's success is no doubt assisted by the fact that it's a multi-platform title, featuring strongly in charts for PS2, GameCube, Xbox, PSone and PC alike, while PES2 is firmly single-platform, with only a PS2 version available at present. However, it's worth noting that FIFA 2003 outsold PES2 this week on PS2 alone as well as in overall sales."
Check out the full story and complete charts here.

GameFeeder.net have published a review of FIFA 2003 for the Xbox by Gareth Askham. Some of you may remember Gareth as he was a former member of the Soccer Gaming team and can frequently be found in the Soccer Gaming Forums. Anyway, here is a bit of what he had to say:
Over the past few years (basically since 98) we have had a couple of disappointing revisions for EA Sport's incarnation of football (ok, soccer for those who are not familiar with the sports real name). Last year we were treated to not just one horrible official FIFA game, but two. World Cup 2002 may have looked the part, but with a game that had "super headers" and only one game mode, one could hardly call the game an enjoyable and realistic football sim. However things are now turning around for the Vancouver based development team. 2003 is looking like the year to change all before it.
Gareth gave the Xbox version a 92% overall. If you would like to view the entire review click here.

SoccerGameZ is very proud to announce the release of their seventh patch in it's series of Fifa patches. After four BFP's (Belgian Fifa Patches) and two DFP's (Dutch Fifa Patches) both editor teams fused to make the ultimate Fifa 2003 patch: under the name B-DFP (Belgian-Dutch Fifa Patch), a must-have Fifa add on is born.
This patch will add everything EA "forgot". Here are the features of the B-DFP, the missing chapter of Fifa 2003:
The whole Dutch league with All 18 "Eredivisie" teams
An update of the Belgian League
National teams:
Rest of the World
They have also found out a totally new technique to use the Creation Centre!
