Leo and the guys over at Fifa Online have published their first set of kits for FIFA 2003. In the game Inter Milan does not have their sponser's logo on the kits, so this patch contains Inter Milan's Home, Away, and 3rd Kit for the 2002-2003 season complete with the sponser logo. It also includes the images of the kits on the Kit Selection screen.
Our all new Tips & Tricks section has just opened. It is packed full of my own personal tips on how to improve your play in FIFA 2003. Hone your skills and before you know it your team will be posing for similar photos as above.
We're wanting to start a Replays section of our Downloads Centre. If anyone is interested in running this section, please drop me an email. You'll need to have HTML experience and have the time to receive and review quite a large number of replays from our visitors.

I was lucky enough to get a copy of FIFA 2003 for the PC today. I've been playing it and really enjoying it for a full day now. Very soon I'll post my review of it on Soccer Gaming.
I actually received two copies of the game. I've decided to send one of them to Ariel Santarelli of SoccerAccess.com to congratulate him on his magnificent FIFA 2003 demo patches that have kept so many of us happy while we waited for the full version. I'd like to think that it is not just a gift from myself, but a gift from the entire FIFA community to say thank you to Ariel for his great work.
Many of you may also have read that SoccerAccess may soon be without a host for their site. I've already told Ariel that Soccer Gaming would be more than happy to offer SoccerAccess completely free hosting. Apparently I have to hear from Xavier Baez first who is hard to track down these days. Ariel's patches and the work of the SoccerAccess team is too good to go to waste, so we would be happy to host them if it meant the patches would keep being produced.
Finally, here are two screenshots I took today that I thought I would share. You can check out a further five at Soccer Gaming.
EA Sports have opened thier FIFA 2003 Support section. It is full of some useful questions and answers. As well as helping you with the more technical issues, it also tackles the issue of why certain players and teams (eg. Ronaldo for Brazil and the Japanese national side) are not included in the game. For the record, it is all to do with licensing.
So if you're having any problems with FIFA 2003, check out the support section.
Recently Joe Lemon posted a request for questions to be sent in for the all new Soccer Gaming Mailbag. The response has been terrific and today I present the answers to the first batch of questions. Here are Joe's answers:
What are the technical specifications for FIFA 2003?
You can check out the specifications of the game from the official FIFA 2003 website:
When will the Creation Center be released? A specific date if possible.
Soccer Gaming has stated the Creation Center (CC) would be released two weeks prior to the release of FIFA 2003. As you probably already noticed, the CC has not been released yet. We can only speculate that it will be released in the next week or two, as it seems near completion and is now listed as “COMING SOON” at the official FIFA 2003 website. Early next week I'd imagine.
You can check out Matt Holme’s hands-on preview of the CC by following the URL below.
Well, according to a reliable source, if you want the most realistic and lifelike presentation you’re going to want to purchase FIFA 2003 on the Playstation 2 or Xbox. But, the PC version also has advantages, especially this year with the downloadable Creation Center being released by EA Sports. So, if you’re looking for a great presentation from the comfort of your couch, look no further than the Playstation 2 or Xbox. But if you want added playability and the option to edit your game, you definitely want to go with the PC version.
Should I buy FIFA Soccer 2003 or FIFA Football 2003?
Well, there is no difference really. If you live in North America it’s called FIFA Soccer 2003, and if you live outside of North America it’s called FIFA Football 2003. No difference except the name, made to appeal to the area it is sold in.
That is all for this week. Keep those questions coming in to editor@soccergaming.com. I'll answer another fresh batch this time next week.

EA Sports have just released an updated version of the FIFA 2003 demo. This new version is exactly the same as the original, except it fixes a number of the video card problems people were experiencing. Only download the new demo if you've had video card problems, otherwise you won't find anything else new and you'll be wasting your time. You can download it from the EA FTP or if that is busy, wait a couple of hours and we'll have mirrors up in our Downloads Centre.
In other interesting news, the release date of FIFA 2003 on the PS2 has been brought forward by one week. It will now hit the streets on October 25th. The other platforms will follow a week later.

We at Soccer Gaming like to keep up to date with times so we like to make sure everything is "hip," and just like every gaming website on the Internet we're giving you a chance to ask questions that we will do our best to answer.
We're looking for questions, comments, or concerns on anything relating or pertaining to the game of soccer, or the gaming of soccer - also known as soccer gaming. We will post the best questions, with answers. The only thing we ask is that you would be as specific as possible, in hopes that my inbox won't be filled with multiple questions like "Can I get a free copy of FIFA 2003?" Sure, it never hurts to ask. You can send all your requests to editor@soccergaming.com.
And, of course, if your question doesn't get answered, you can always visit the Soccer Gaming Forums by clicking right here.
With the recent release of the FIFA 2003 Demo giving us a first peek at the current file system, work has begun over at Fifa CONCACAF on the FIFA 2003 version of the popular Canada Super-Patch.
In years past, this patch has been wholly dependant on the available leagues/teams that could be overwritten and has been severely restricted by the limitations of Hex Editing. This year, with the imminent release of the Creation Centre, patching looks to be more flexible than ever.
As such, they would like to open this patch up for input from Canadian fans. As this is by and large a fantasy patch, let your imagination go!
How many teams this year?
Which ones?
Do you still want to see a CUSL Second Division (CPSL)?
Keeping in mind that patches can be released in portions and installed together without conflict... what's the best way to go about this?
Have your say on this patch! Discuss it over in the Fifa CONCACAF Forum.
IGN has posted their short and sweet hands-on FIFA 2003 preview:
"We got not one, but two FIFA games that played well, but lacked features the other game had. From what we've seen of this years version, EA seems to have corrected some of those mistakes, but possibly created some new ones."

FIFA 2003 features a more advanced online multiplayer "Matchup" system this year. Like previous years you will be able to register with EA.com and login to play friendly games against other players from around the world. This time around though, EA have added the extra feature of a "Leader Board". To have your match ranked on the leader board you simply tick a box before you start your game. If you win the game you receive a certain amount of points. The more games you win the more points you get and the higher you climb on the Leader Board.
Check out some of the screenshots from the Matcheup system below.

Let the file editing begin! Now that the FIFA 2003 Demo has been released, patch makers are hard at work editing various files for everyone to try. The first of thousands of files we are bound to recieve comes from FifaMania.it. They have published the Puma King 2003 boots for the FIFA 2003 Demo.

As promised, I have just posted a complete run-down on what the official FIFA 2003 editor, the Creation Center, will feature.
This year, for the first time in the history of FIFA games, EA Sports are taking the bold step of releasing an official editor for FIFA 2003. Known as the "Creation Center", this downloadable program will allow you to edit/create players, teams, leagues, tournaments, kits, flags and chants for FIFA 2003. It also boasts a handy import/export feature which allows you to easily import other patches (known as "packages") as well as export your own packages to share with others.
Visit the Creation Center Information section for desciptions of the editors features along with screenshots.
I'm sure you've all noticed how slowly pages having been loading on the Soccer Gaming network the past few days. This is obviously due to the huge number of hits we have been receiving during the busy FIFA 2003 demo release period.
The good news is that we will be installing our sixth (yes, you read it right, SIXTH!) dedicated server later this week meaning that unless EA release another ten or more demos, pages should soon be loading nice and quickly.
The demo hasn't even been out for 24 hours but already there are a number of "demo expanders" available for you to download.
Federico Leonardo created the first demo expander which went online with in minutes of the release of the demo. It changes the half length to 5 minutes and automatically restarts the match at the end of the game. Download it here.
Jan Van Harren from Soccer Gamez created a demo expander which includes 8 minutes halves, professional mode and access to a number of options. You can also turn on injuries and off sides. Grab it here.
Soccered also have a demo expander available. Take your pick.
According to a post in the Forums, there will be a very detailed Demo Expander released by Ariel from Soccer Access tomorrow. Going by the standard of Ariel's previous patches, we should expect something special from his demo expander.
Many people in our Forums are complaining that the graphics either do not work or are very messed up in the demo. Some are even receiving an error message.
EA Sports have informed us that during testing they came across this problem and solved it simply by downloading the latest drivers for their graphics card and installing DirectX 8.1.
The FIFA 2003 demo has finally been released. It features a 2 minute match between Real Madrid and Arsenal at the Delle Alpi stadium.
The demo is set to semi-pro mode and allows you to not only experience the awesome new FIFA 2003 gameplay, but also see things like rotating ad boards and flares in the crowd.
To expand the length of each half to five minutes, download Leo's INI Expander. We'll have plenty more patches for the demo coming shortly, so stay tuned.
It is October and the air is thick with FIFA atmosphere. The demo is close, the fans are excited and we launch our dedicated FIFA 2003 website. What a time be a football gamer!

Today we have opened the Information and Screenshots section. Both secitons are very comprehensive, covering every aspect of FIFA 2003 info and screenshots respectively.
Coming this weekend, expect a complete overview of the upcoming "Creation Center" editor for FIFA 2003. We'll have screenshots and info on how it all works.
